An event by METIDA and the Lithuanian Library for the Blind
The Lithuanian Library for the Blind, in association with METIDA Law Firm of Reda Žabolienė, and the public relations agency “Nova Media”, have organized for the blind and visually impaired a virtual tour of the Jewish Vilnius, which used to be rightfully called Jerusalem of the North. The expressive narrative by tour guide Gabija Lunevičiūtė kept everyone in the tour enthralled, painting vivid pictures of Vilnius the way it was back in those days in their imagination. The lively narrative was accompanied by a video presentation of a virtual maze of Old Town streets; the two combined were able to convey the joys, sorrows, celebrations, and daily living of the Jews that used to live there perfectly well.
