Valiantsin Rachkouski  has practiced in the field of intellectual property protection since 2001. Valiantsin Rachkouski started his career in the positions of a Leading Specialist and Chief Specialist of the Legal Service (2001 – 2005), Assistant to Director General (2005 – 2011) and Head of the Department of Information and Methodology (2008 –  2011) of the Patent Office of Belarus. Valiantsin Rachkouski represented Belarus in the administrative bodies of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Eurasian Patent Organization (EPO). He was the chairing member of the Appeals Board at the National Centre of Intellectual Property, and represented the interests of the National Centre of Intellectual Property at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus. 2011-2012 Valiantsin Rachkouski headed the firm for providing patent services of the Belarusian Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

In 2012 he was qualified as a Patent Attorney of the Republic of Belarus and now he is leading the intellectual property firm “BelBrand Consult”, which joined METIDA in 2016.

Valiantsin Rachkouski has extensive and diverse experience of protecting the interests of intellectual property rightholders. He is an active member of the Belarusian Association for Intellectual Property Protection “BelBrand”.

He is the author of many publications on different issues related to trademark, copyrighted works and other intellectual property rights protection and management, which were published in the Belarusian mass media. Valiantsin Rachkouski has been actively involved in educational and practical activities on various aspects of intellectual property management.
